Tell us about how you contribute to the success of Carrick Global as an organisation.

I have five years of experience in the Finance sector. In my previous position, I achieved an early promotion which allowed me to manage and coordinate several tasks. After making positive changes in that sector, I found a space in Carrick Global Wealth Limited which could further uplift the quality of my career in Finance. I’m an outgoing people person and also good with numbers. These traits allow me to build strong relationships with clients as well as perform well within my role.

What is the best part about your job?

I thoroughly enjoy working with my coworkers. It is a friendly atmosphere that motivates me to go to work every day. My role allows me to handle client profiles and raise any relevant questions without hesitation.

Tell us about your personal and professional growth while working at Carrick.

Once you have a clear goal, it is easier to manage your personal and professional development. I am able to choose the training that stretches me personally and provides the experience that I need to grow professionally. Training at Carrick isn’t all about the learning but finding opportunities to use your new knowledge and skills. Not all opportunities will be right for you and may not fit your personal brand, so it taught me to choose carefully. Experience at Carrick has encouraged me to set goals and measure my progress.

The best way to manage development is to ensure that one goes through a regular process of planning, taking action and reviewing the progress. I was clear about how I could improve performance while seeing beyond day-to-day tasks.

What is a typical day at work like for you?

I like to get up early to avoid traffic and arrive at the office before the workday begins. Then, I sit down and plan the day. I jot down what must be completed and prioritise tasks depending on their urgency and importance. I focus on scheduling my tasks based on their priority which leads to having a clear understanding on the cases. Since my role is focused on client relationships and compliance, this method of involvement helps me to attain efficiency and complete tasks within a given period of time.
